OK, so let me start off saying, that this blog was intentional used for style tips, trends, foodies, what poppin' in the streets and blah blah blah... I quickly realize that cool and all,..but I thought about how I could utilized this platform to tell my story... How I can share my interest and thoughts to inspire others. After all, that what Soulsimplicity was based upon; to inspire others with your gift(s). Everything I do, I try to do it with a purpose with some finesse...so if it looks goods, it appeals,.. If it appeals then it has your attention, if it has your attention then you'll pay attention and want more of it! Any you can all this entry, and from here on out... A reboot. I want people to get to know who I am, and my reasoning for what I do... And helpfully I can inspire them!
So with all that being said, I wanted to share my personal plans and ambitions for the remaining of 2016. This year has flown by. It's already August. It feels like I just picked up my daughter from her last day off school yesterday. Now, she's starting her second week of school for the new year. However, that doesn't mean I can't plan to execute some goals and interest I had in mind before the end of the year and have a fresh start for the new year:
So with all that being said, I wanted to share my personal plans and ambitions for the remaining of 2016. This year has flown by. It's already August. It feels like I just picked up my daughter from her last day off school yesterday. Now, she's starting her second week of school for the new year. However, that doesn't mean I can't plan to execute some goals and interest I had in mind before the end of the year and have a fresh start for the new year:
1. Travel, travel, travel! This has been a hectic year! Most of you probably feel the same. As it gets close to the holidays, I want to invest some time getting to for a mental reboot. I want to relax and clear my mind for creative thinking and take off some stress. The great thing about these times is traveling has never been easier. There are several avenues in taking into planning a trip. Living social and groupon provide some great travel options and affordable destination rates. You can even get your passport a lot faster these days, if you do t have one. The only difficulty is having the time! ...And sometimes the money... However, I've learned to plan ahead. Before this year is out, I plan on taking a small trip not quite sure but I want to do something epic... In fact when I'm done with this entry, I'm going to jump on living social and groupon!
.2. Invest in myself. When I say invest in myself, I mean taking a personal look at my life and making some personal changes. Better exercising, eating better, reading positive and informative content, being more aware of my surroundings. The better I feel about myself the more I can be efficient to someone else. How can I become a better father, better husband, better at business, and more creative if I don't invest in myself. This may seem simple enough but some people forget to get to invest in themselves. People sometimes get so caught up in their daily lives, and there constant daily routine they forget to invest in themselves. I'm a try to remember this and to be consistent with trying to invest and make a better me.
3. Create my opportunities and wealth. Soulsimplicity is my brand and apparel company. But I am always trying to find ways to either make it better or two possibly create something new to generate my own wealth and opportunities. Over the years, I flirted that people are not going to give you anything unless you work hard for it or to show that you're deserving. One of the main reasons I wanted to start my own company and business is because I didn't want to have to rely or depend on anyone. I've always had a problem of people trying to control my destiny. So I will continue to generate and create my own opportunities when I see fit to take advantage of that of an opportunity.
So those are three things that I had in mind that I planned solely for the remainder of the year. One thing I've also learned, is no matter how much you plan, there needs to be some discipline and consistency to make anything work. That's just the way it is…
